i saw a show and it was about people using coupons to an insane level. i would like to start saving on my grocery bill, but i do like to eat organic. do you guys have books i could read, tips, suggestions? anything will help.

Actually, if you cut down on other expenses you would have more money for groceries and it would cause you less worry. There are several ways to get a good buy other than coupons. 1. buy it in bulk while it’s cheap because the price will go up next week. 2. compare prices online and from old receipts, even make a phone call or two before heading out shopping 3. When you go for groceries, go straight to the grocery store and straight back home instead of stopping to eat or spend money elsewhere. 4. DO Not buy groceries when you are hungry. Not only will you be buying everything in sight, but your hunger will impair your ability to make the right choices on what you buy. 5. Find two grocery stores across the street from each other so if you don’t like prices on somethin at store a, then just go to store b. But don’t drive around and spend your gas going from store to store!
Shop at save-a-lot, where your dollar will go far.I don’t know if there is an organic section or if the food is safe for human consumption, but damn, think of the savings!
My wife uses “the grocery game” web site which has some coupons but the best thing it has is that it matches up sales going on with coupons that are out. You get coupons from your local paper, from mfgr’s web sites, or you can get them from coupon services.

Whole Foods has a flyer with coupons out periodically. You have to get it at the store, though.
A few sites will let you print coupons. The downside (from personal experience): only ONE store here (LA) will take them, and then not for dairy or tobacco.
